Earth — американская дроун дум группа созднная в Сиэтле, Вашингтон. Несмотря на то что они играли во многих стилях, более всего они прославились как первопроходцы одной из форм метала — Дроун Дум. Первые работы группы рассматриваются как начало стиля дроун дум, однако в целом творчество нельзя отнести именно к металу.
Earth (в качестве названия было взято название группы Black Sabbath на ранних этапах творчества) оказала влияние на бесчисленное множество команд. На ранних записях присутствует вокал Курта Кобейна, позже создавшего группу Nirvana (собственно, Дилан Карлсон (Dylan Carlson) и подарил ему то самое ружье...). По словам самого предтечи и отца основателя дрона Дилана Карлсона, ныне он старается улучшать и расширять звучание группы, не особо упираясь в какие-либо стилевые рамки.
